We spent a week in Cape Cod, which exceeded all hopes and expectations for a great way to cap off the summer before getting back into the grind of things. We stayed in a rental home in Dennis, not on the beach, but very secluded and green. Since we weren't on the beach, we rented bikes for the week, and ended up riding 15-20 miles or so each day--sometimes to various beaches, sometimes to small towns or along other routes. The biking was super fun for all three of us in spite of my being completely out of shape, biking-wise.

The three of us in Woods Hole. We biked in along the ocean, biked around the town, visited the aquarium, had a picnic, then biked back to a beach in Falmouth.

Playing with a lobster in our front yard before boiling it. Naomi saw the lobster in the pot on the stove and said "Lobster sleeping". Hm...

NOT the place we stayed (forgot to take a picture), but a typical home on Cape Cod.

Glassy shallow lake with swans.
