Assorted pictures from the end of summer

Naomi at Ballet
Gymnastics. The funny story about gymnastics is that Naomi somehow was accidentally sent off with the 5-6 year olds at gymnastics the first couple of weeks. Angela mentioned that the teacher was working these girls really hard, and that Naomi was struggling a little to keep up with the others. The next week I went and noticed she was one of the shortest (and youngest-looking) kids in the class. Mystery solved! Back in her true 3-4 year old class:

Playing around at home:

Lastly, some pictures of Naomi at her old school. She ended up getting sent home when she tried to go to school the day after we returned from vacation sometime around last June because we apparently forgot to ask for a contract to renew. Luckily the principal let her come the next day to at least say goodbye to all of her friends....and luckily we were planning on sending her to public preK that fall anyway. In any case, Naomi had a great couple of years at Imagine! Below, a picture of her teachers in the Turtles (the two year old class) and some pictures of her in the Bears (3 year old) class where she spent about 6 months:

Weekend away in Florida....

While we were in Florida visiting Matt's parents last summer, Matt and I snuck away for a glorious couple of days alone at the beach. Some pics....

Whitewater Rafting, Fall 2008

Organizing some of our messy shelves today, I found a CD with pictures from a rafting trip Matt and I took a little over two years ago. We bought one of those "underwater" disposable cameras, so the pictures look like they are much older than they actually are. Anyway, this brought back a lot of memories.... It was FREEZING (last Saturday of the year they took people out on rafting trips), but so peaceful and beautiful. On the way back, we got stuck in some small town that was having an annual "garage sale". The sale was enormous, stretching for what seemed like several miles of bumper to bumper traffic, so we ended up getting out and doing some shopping ourselves. Not the original plan, but such a great time...

Florida

Last Summer we visited Matt's parents in Florida. We stayed with them and Dennis (thanks Dennis!), and had a ton of fun. I was terrified of the alligators.
